Who We Are
Northwest Community Childcare is an established Not-For-Profit service, providing Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) in the Northwest region of Sydney for the past 28 years.
The organisation is a community initiative of Northwest Community Ministries Pty Ltd (NWCM), founded by Rouse Hill Baptist Church.
We opened our first service in 1996 in Quakers Hill, as we recognised the need for quality childcare in the local community. Since 1996, we have opened 11 more OSHC services.
Our services range from being one of the largest in NSW, to one of the smallest in NSW. Our largest service, located in The Ponds, has a capacity to provide care for 477 children. On a daily basis across our 12 services, we provide exceptional care for over 2,000 children.
In 2021, we launched our ULTRA Kidz OSHC program as an extension of our organisation. The name ties in with our embedded company values and community focus.
We are a recognised inclusive employer demonstrated by winning the 2020 Blacktown City Local Business Awards for “Most Inclusive Employer” and being a Finalist again in 2021 and 2022. We aim for inclusion to be embedded into the fibre of who we are, not only for our staff, but in every facet of our community service involvement.
A Note from the General Manager
Our number one priority is your child, and it remains our greatest privilege to care for the community in this way.
Did you know that NWCC is a Not-For-Profit, community care provider that supports a range of school, P&C and community initiatives? These include:
Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls
Year 6 Graduations
School Fete days
Hawkesbury Helping Hands
Uniform and canteen donations for families in need
As well as a wide range of school supported fundraising events for Cancer research, Autism awareness, Harmony Day, Naidoc Week and much more. We love supporting important events, especially when chocolates and doughnuts are for purchase!
In past years, we have run events to support our OSHC families such as 'Date Nights', where you can leave your children with us on a pre-determined Saturday evening and go out with your partner or friends. COVID-19 put an end to these events, however, we hope to reinstate this in 2024.
Our Community Event ‘Anxiety in the Family Home’ was a great success, and we aim to hold future events. Please keep an eye out for future advertising.
Thank you for putting your trust in NWCC!
